Quality AdSense Resources
Software for Building AdSense Sites
It is possible to build a good AdSense site without using any money at all. But it would be difficult. It would take twice as long and it would be twice as hard.
To make the task of building a website easier it is always a good idea to invest in some software. With good software and a little patience to learn how to use it, you can create quality AdSense websites with no fuss at all.
The components required to build an AdSense site
To build and publish a decent website a you need the following necessary pieces in place:
- An image editor- These is a tool that you use to modify, resize, edit and crop photos or graphic files.
- A What-You-See-Is-What-You-Get (WYSIWYG) editor - These editors enable you to edit your website in the design view instead of just the source code.
- A FTP client - This is what you use to upload your website to your webhosts servers.
- A webhost and domain name - Your webhost looks after the webspace your AdSense website resides in. You can also buy a name for the webspace in question from your webhost.
Some of the best image editors include:
Adobe Photoshop elements - US$62.00, £51.00

This is the cheaper cousin to Adobe Photoshop CS4. It doesn't have as much functions as Adobe Photoshop CS4 but it has enough to cope with most webmasters basic photo editing needs.
Adobe Photoshop CS4 - US$632.00, £527.00
http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/photoshop/
This is the industry standard image editing software. Expensive, but I guess its all in the quality. From beginners to professionals it caters for everyone at every level. It has so much depth, yet it is intuitive and easy to use. For absolute beginners there are numerous tutorials to help them get to grips with what the application can do. It is a must for those hoping to become serious webmasters and those who work with a lot of images.
Some of the best WYSIWYG editors:
Adobe Dreamweaver CS4 - US$385.00, £379.00
http://www.adobe.com/products/dreamweaver/
Another industry standard by adobe. This product is perfect for web designers of all grades. This latest version creates almost perfect source code when building a website from design view. It also offers a number of helpful tools like a library of code snippets and a ftp management section (so no need for an external ftp client) in addition to all the basic features that it does so well.
It also enables you to view CSS information in a single, dedicated CSS panel that simplifies the process of applying styles to specific on page elements without having to change to code view.
It is the WYSWYG editor of choice (it's the one that I used to build this site). It integrates with the rest of the Adobe suite seamlessly (so you can transfer photoshop material, for instance, to your site easily).
Expensive but well worth the investment if you want to create stable, quality, multiple browser compatible websites.
Microsoft Expression Web - US$228.00, £233.00
http://www.microsoft.com/expression/
This Web-editor is a step up from microsoft's other web authoring application, Frontpage. It contains a lot of user friendly features that are uncannily similar to Dreamweavers. Unfortunately, it doesn't contain as much features as Dreamweaver and its source code isn't as clean. However, it is cheaper than its competitor and it offers a full 60 day trail version that can be downloaded for free from its site.
Adobe contribute - US$195.00, £168.00
http://www.adobe.com/products/contribute/
If you don't want to learn HTML then contribute is the application for you. It enables you to make changes to Web content without affecting the integrity of the website (or blog). You can choose to make changes to your site using your browser, microsoft office or Dreamweaver templates. A neat application in addition to dreamweaver.
